Michael Jackson’s son Blanket is celebrating his 15th birthday today.
The teen, born Prince Michael Jackson II, is best known for being dangled off a balcony by his celebrity dad in 2002.
Michael Jackson kids recently hit headlines after daughter Paris revealed, after much speculation, that she is her dad’s biological child.
Meanwhile, youngster Prince has changed quite a bit since the now-infamous railings debacle.
He now reportedly goes by Bigi, after being bullied at school for his birth name.
According to Radar Online, Blanket changed his name as soon as he started The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California.
The name is meant to have a German origin and means idealistic, sensitive and inspirational.
A source told the website back in 2015: “He always thought that the name Blanket sounded so stupid and resented his father for calling him that.
“Growing up, his school mates have always been slightly mean to him because of their jealousy over who he is and going by Blanket made him a much easier target for ridicule.”
The teen lives with his co-guardians, Katherine, 85, and cousin Tito, 36, as well as his siblings, Paris, 18, and Michael Joseph, 20.
The identity of Blanket’s mother was never confirmed, with pop icon Michael claiming he was a result of artificial insemination from a surrogate mother and his own sperm.
The youngster, who rocks long brown hair, was born in 2002 – the same year as that famous balcony incident.
On November 20, Billie Jean star Michael was seen dangling Blanket, then a baby, off the balcony of his room at the Hotel Adlon in Berlin with a cloth over his face.
Jackson was later criticised by the media for the stunt as he was four stories above ground level.
He later apologised for the incident – calling it a “terrible mistake”.
Jackson began his career in the Jackson Five before releasing his first solo album, Got To Be There in 1972.
He died on June 25, 2009, after falling unconscious while lying in his bed at his rented mansion at 100 North Carolwood Drive in the Holmby Hills district of LA.
